This wine comes from old, gnarled, low-yielding vines at
Warnecke Ranch, on the north slope of Chalk Hill in the far
southern end of Alexander Valley, where cooler nights
accentuate fruit, acidity and concentration.  The wine
exhibits a note of blueberry over a robust structure that will
continue to mature for years to come.
