Chardonnay

Russian River Valley

Delicate, balanced ripeness, showing citrus, lightly baked apple, and honey – a rich mouthfeel, and a long finish worth savoring. Richness without losing the taut fruit is achieved by barrel-fermenting in neutral oak and with deft and rapid malolactic fermentation.

Zinfandel

Russian River Valley

Bright, elegant “classic Zinfandel”, with cherry and briar, wild plum and bright berry flavors and a touch of pepper.  Picked at moderate brix, or sugar levels, the Russian River Valley Zin is leaner and tends toward the “claret” style: taut, lower-alcohol, food friendly, and spicy.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Alexander Valley

Deep color, a compelling and complex nose with both cherry and blueberry, blackcurrant and a hint of cedar, rounded tannins, acidity held in balance with plush texture on the palate, and a long finish.

Rosé of Pinot Noir

Sonoma County

Delightful aromas that show in the wine early in fermentation–like the sweet kiss of a young girl. We drain off a small amount early and ferment it slowly at a cool temperatures to make this Rosé.

Zinfandel

Russian River Valley
PAGNANO VINEYARD

Tightly wound but also opulent, showing spice, black raspberry, bramble, and a hint of peat on the nose, with an intriguing push-pull between a rich, fat mouthfeel and lively acids and tannins. Naturally high acid combined with strong structure that lends it to aging.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Sonoma Mountain
BERGER VINEYARD

Intense color, nose that brims with classic cassis and berry notes, shimmering fruit that holds the palate for a long time, velvet mouthfeel with notes of chocolate, and a very focused finish. The grapes here ripen late with low yield and offer great richness of fruit combined with finesse.  The wine is very plush, very rich, and concentrated, but taut with delicate, exquisite notes.  30% new oak, mostly American; 18 months or more in barrel.
